Chamois Run 2015
On Sunday 15th February 2015 we had the first run of the New Year. We assembled at Parson’s Garage, Milltown Road, Tuam at midday. On arrival we were treated to tea, coffee, some tasty scones with lovely rice crispy squares. Thank you very much to the Parson Chef – who must have been up early on the day – for your hard work.
At 1.00 o’clock, 19 cars set out on the run which saw us heading up to Ballindine before turning right and then driving back into Dunmore. From here we then returned to Tuam and the Ard Rí Hotel for lunch. Over 30 people sat down to a good lunch in our own private dining room.
After the lunch there was a hat collection in aid of Tuam Cancer Care and a cheque for €500 will be passed on to this great cause. Thanks to all who generously contributed.
Thanks also to Helen Quinlan who did all the organising and made this an enjoyable event.
